About Matt Wilson’s Topsy Turvy
This band includes Matt’s regular quartet of Saxophonist Jeff Lederer, Bassist Chris Lightcap and myself plus four others: Mary Halvorson-guitar, Vijay Iyer-piano, Curtis Fowlkes-trombone and Tia Fuller-saxophone. Matt chose these unique players to cover the “little big band” sound of the 30s and 40s. It’s great fun playing this swinging music with these players.
